Birth and Rebirth

I write to you today, Christmas Day. Just about every spirituality in the history of man celebrates the joys of birth and rebirth at the winter solstice. As the days turn the corner from becoming shorter to becoming longer, the promise of the springtime rebirth of nature gains momentum.

The message of every Christed Master throughout history (and almost every religion has had their own Christed Master) has been one of birth and rebirth. So it is no surprise that Christianity follows in that tradition and celebrates the birth of their Christed Master, Jesus, at this time of year.

Each Christed Master shares a similar story--virgin birth, death, and resurrection-- with their resurrection giving birth to a higher form of themselves, one of a Unity Consciousness.

I believe this Unity Consciousness gave each Christed Master a completely different view of their place and role in existence: that they were one with all. Jesus would have realized he was the exact same entity as Buddha just as Buddha would have realized he was the exact same entity as Jesus. And both recognized he was the exact same entity as you. Not "you" as a body (as they would have realized bodies are a belief in separation) but "you" as part of the Unity Consciousness, an all-encompassing "I."

So if our spiritual leaders saw their Unity with one another why do we, their self-proclaimed followers, refuse to follow them? The experience of Unity Consciousness left each Christed Master with a similar message of hope for us all: "Everything I have done you can do and more." Can we really expect to reach the same promised destination when we refuse to walk the same path?

As our reality is simply an outward expression of our inner thoughts and beliefs, if we are experiencing something different than the Christed Masters experienced it can only be our refusal to think as they thought. And how did They think? My guess is they put their faith in beliefs in the perfect peace and safety of Unified Thinking. In so doing, they enjoyed an experience of peace, love and perfection that could not be threatened or disturbed.

My Christmas wish for you is that the Unity Consciousness that already resides in you is allowed to be reborn so that you, too, can do all they did and more.
